In addition, the center hosts cycle racing competitions in summer. There are competitions of different levels – from regional competitions to international ones with world sports stars.

World Biathlon Stars
In the last three years The Pearl of Siberia was visited and lauded by many biathlon stars:

Norwegian Ole Einar Bjørndalen, and Synnøve Solemdal, Swedes Björn Ferry and  Carl-Johan Bergman, Darya Domracheva, representing Belarus, Tina Bahmann, representing Germany, Slovenes Jakov Fak and Teja Gregorin, Kaisa Mäkäräinen from Finland, sisters from Ukraine Vita and Valya Semerenko.
In addition, there is equipped space for 1 000 spectators located on the track.

In 2013 major ski racing and biathlon competitions were visited by 9 000 people in total: 6500 spectators were at the biathlon competitions and 3500 – at the ski races.
The Pearl of Siberia is located 40 km from the city of Tyumen at 70 m above sea level. Level difference between the top and the bottom of the track is 49 m. In the center there are 15 km of ski track and 5 km of roller ski track with artificial lighting.
The Pearl of Siberia was opened in March 2011. The event coincided with the first official competition, which was Russian Ski Racing Championship.

Later, the center hosted the 2011 Russian Biathlon championship.
In the center there is a system of artificial snowing. There are two shooting ranges (the main and the training ones). In autumn of 2013 a cooled 2500-meter ski track was launched here. Now it is the longest cooled track in the world.
Justyna Kowalczyk from Poland,  Theodor Peterson from Sweden, Ola Vigen Hattestad from Norway, Maurice Manificat from France and Daria Gaiazova, representing Canada, have visited and lauded the center.
In The Pearl of Siberia there are lit ski and roller ski tracks, a stadium, a shooting range with 30 electro mechanical installations, stands, bridges and an overpass, administrative center with a arms room, a shooting range, press-center, cafe and a service building.

In 2013 a hotel for sportsmen was opened.

Winter sports center The Pearl of Siberia

It is a training center for the sportsmen of the Tyumen region and other regions of our country. Its technological level of equipment allows us to organize sportsmen training of any level throughout the year.

The center is a venue for regional, all-Russian and international competitions. Now The Pearl of Siberia is ready to host ski racing, biathlon, orienteering and cycling top competitions. In the future we are planning to add more winter sports to the list.

Among the hosted competitions in the center: the European Сhampionship, The 2014 Ski Orienteering World Cup final, the 2011 and 2014 Ski Racing Russian championship. The center regularly hosts international biathlon competitions Governor`s Prize of the Tyumen region, international ski racing competitions The Tyumen Cup and other events. In the summer of 2014 the Summer Biathlon World Championships will take place here.

Norweigian biathlonist Ole Einar Bjorndalen, eight times Olympic champion, winner of the biggest number of awards (13) in the history of the Winter Olympics in all kinds of sports, after Governor`s Prize of the Tyumen Region, where he took the fifth place, expressed the following: `The center is fantastic. The local complex is among the three best ones in the world. The track is good, the infrastructure is developed.`

The concept of development of the Pearl of Siberia implies the presence of the following facilities:

  3. houses to accommodate the teams;
  4. hotels;
  5. skiing and biathlon stadium;
  6. lit roller ski track with artificial lighting and snowing ski tracks;
  7. ski tracks;
  8. driveways;
  9. water storage;
  10. cross circles;
  11. imitation circles;
  12. videoscreen 4х6 m and information table 4х9m.

The facilities of the infrastructure fit modern standards and requirements of FIS and are designed for broadcasting. In 2012 the center obtained an IBU A-licence.

The Pearl of Siberia was a venue for training sporting lessons organized by the Regional Specialized School of Olympic Reserve in 2009. Pupils of 10 and 11 grades train there, they are the best skiers and biathlonists of the Tyumen region. In 2013 The training Ski Race and Biathlon Center of Olympic Reserve of L.N. Noskova was created on the basis of these trainings.
