The stadium was built in 1982. Its reconstruction was complete on July 31, 2011. It was designed as a sporting and entertainment centre which provides a wide range of services all year round.
The stadium, located in the historical centre of Tyumen, is a centre of sporting and administrative buildings. In addition to the staduim itself, it has an upper pitch for trainings with a capacity of 550 seats, and the surrounding area. When the reconstruction was complete, it became one of the most modern Russian stadiums. Its capacity is 13057 seats (4 viewing stands with 23 sectors). The area of the pitch is 105x68m.
The stadium was build as the FC Tyumen office, but now it also is the venue for its core and reserve teams` trainings. In the building of the upper pitch is the Olympic reserve preparation centre of the FC Tyumen, with its junior teams. On the second floor there is a first-aid post. On the third floor there is a health centre of the FC Tyumen, where everybody can relax in a Turkish of Finnish bath, a jacuzzi or a swimming pool. There also is the sports club City Fitness, with its gym and exercise bike hall, a fitness hall and a health centre. The trainings are conducted both individually and in groups. On the fourth and fifth floors of the building there is the hotel Arena, with its spacious and comfortable rooms.
